The Anniversary day of the Big Family of Computer Science (DINAMIK), marking the 18th anniversary of the journey of the Computer Science academic civitas of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), has successfully built unforgettable moments under the theme “Rising Beyond Boundaries.” A series of mesmerizing activities have grace this celebration, providing precious moments and inspiration for all participants.

The event opened with splendid on Friday, December 1, 2023, through the “Opening Ceremony” and “Dinamik Talks.” Held at the FPMIPA UPI Auditorium and virtually via Zoom Meeting, this event showcased inspirational speakers. Ms. Nusuki Syariati, a Computer Science Education lecturer at UPI, along with two alumni, Muhammad Rahmanda (CEO of Elspasial) and Muhammad Singgih (CMO & Co-Founder of Codepolitan), shared their inspirational journeys towards success. Moderator Cantika Putri Arbiliansyah nicely guided the inspiring talkshow session, concluding with an enriching question and answer session for the participants.

The Academic Competition was the main highlight with a series of competitions such as Scientific Paper Writing, Microteaching, Outstanding Student, Competitive Programming, and User Interface Web Design. This competition was designed for active students in Computer Science and Computer Science Education to encourage the spirit of competition. The final stage from December 11-15 became the stage for 12 Outstanding Student participants, 4 Scientific Paper Writing teams, 7 Competitive Programming teams, 3 User Interface Web Design teams, and 7 Microteaching teams to present their projects in front of the judges.

In addition, the Computer Science Competition (COSION) added diversity with non-academic competitions. From sports such as Badminton, Volleyball, Futsal, to E-Sports categories featuring Mobile Legends, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Valorant, as well as Art segments including Unjuk Kabisa Urang (UJANG), Photography, and Tumpeng. Participant enthusiasm in competition was felt throughout the period from December 2-16, 2023.

The climax of the event was celebrated on Sunday, December 17, 2023, with the lively “Closing Dinamik-18” at the UPI Amphitheater. Students, lecturers, and alumni from the Computer Science and Computer Science Education programs gathered to create moments of togetherness in this spirited celebration. Exciting performances from students and alumni, along with a special performance by sundayeve, marked a spectacular ending. At the peak of this celebration, the winners of the academic competition and COSION were announced, recognizing and applauding their dedication and achievements.

Congratulations to the Computer Science and Computer Science Education programs on this Dinamik birthday celebration. At this 18th age milestone, hopes grow high. Satria Rajendra, the chief executive of Dinamik-18 expressed his hope that “in the momentum of Dinamik-18 which carries the theme Rising Beyond Boundaries, I hope that all colleagues can collaborate, innovate, and be outstanding, we must become the initiator and innovator in the field of technology to build an advanced and superior Indonesia,” he said. May as the age advances, the programs continue to enhance quality, providing excellent education to remain at the forefront. Hopes also extend to the students, that the spirit of competition and learning continues to burn brightly, leading towards a future full of brightness and accomplishments.
