Description

The Independent Learning Activity-Independent Campus (MBKM) is one of the programs initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdikbud RI), namely Independent Learning Activity-Independent Campus (MBKM). The program which was rolled out in 2020 is expected to give students the right to get the best experience for a maximum of 3 semesters (20-40 credits) obtained outside the study program in the same university, the same study program at a different university, and outside the program. study programs at different universities (Permendikbud Number 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards). Guidelines for Recognizing Student Learning Experiences in the Implementation of the MBKM program are regulated in the UPI Chancellor's Regulation Number 007 of 2021. The following is an explanation of the MBKM programs.


List of Program

  1. Program Bangkit

Program Bangun Kualitas Manusia Indonesia (Bangkit) is a program organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, as guidance for students in preparing digital talents from practitioners of Google, Gojek, Tokopedia and Traveloka, as well as renowned university lecturers. The competencies offered in this field are in the fields of machine learning, mobile development, and cloud computing (https://grow.google/intl/id_id/bangkit/). Each student who participates in the Bangkit program can convert their activities to a maximum of 20 credits (32 ECTS) at their respective universities. Besides that, students will also get competency certification from Google.

  1. IISMA

Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is a scholarship scheme by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to fund Indonesian students for mobility programs at top universities and reputable industries overseas. IISMA covers two paths for both undergraduate and vocational students. With IISMA, they could spend one semester at prominent partner institutions. For undergraduate path, this program equips the students with the skills required for the future workforce, namely: sense-making, social intelligence, novel & adaptive thinking, cross-cultural competency, computational thinking, new-media literacy, transdisciplinarity, design mindset, cognitive load management, and virtual collaboration. For vocational students, this program offers learning in collaboration with industry where they will undertake practical assignments to enhance their skills. Overall, IISMA will expose Indonesian students to international academic and cultural diversity. The scheme is centrally managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT).

  1. Kampus Mengajar

Campus Teaching is a program that provides opportunities for students for 1 (one) semester to help teachers and principals at the elementary and junior high school levels in carrying out learning activities affected by the pandemic. Through this program, students can devote their knowledge, skills, and inspire these elementary and middle school students to broaden their goals and horizons.

  1. GERILYA

GERILYA or Gerakan Inisiatif Listrik Tenaga Surya is an independent study prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to be implemented at the Independent Learning Activity-Independent Campus (MBKM) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

  1. Certified Internships

Certified Internships are part of the Independent Campus program which aims to provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside the classroom. In the Certified Internship program, students will gain work experience in the industry/real world of the profession for 1-2 semesters. By direct learning at the internship partner's workplace, students will gain both hard skills and soft skills that will prepare students to be more confident in entering the world of work and careers.

  1. Pejuang Muda Kampus Merdeka

Pejuang Muda is a social laboratory for students to apply their knowledge and knowledge to make a concrete social impact. Through this program equivalent to 20 credits, students will be challenged to learn from residents while collaborating with local governments, community leaders, local religious leaders and all social mobilizing stakeholders in the region.

  1. Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka

The Independent Student Exchange is an opportunity for students to explore & learn about the cultural diversity of the archipelago, and make friends with students from various regions by getting opportunities to study at other campuses in Indonesia.

  1. Studi Independen

Certified Independent Study is part of the Merdeka Campus program which aims to provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside of class lectures, but are still recognized as part of the lecture. This program is intended for students who want to equip themselves by mastering specific and practical competencies that are also sought after by the industrial world.
