Innovillage is the largest sociopreneurship program in Indonesia with the goal of encouraging innovation and digitalization for the welfare and progress of Indonesian society. The theme raised this year is “Empowering Young Sociopreneurs for National Development” with the tagline #DigitalUntukSemua. This event is the result of PT Telkom Indonesia’s collaboration with universities throughout Indonesia. There were 2,385 students and 795 proposals for Innovillage 2023.
Of these proposals, 163 proposals were selected which will receive a total funding of 5.5 billion Rupiah. The Smartengtest team was included in the top 163 teams that received funding. The project proposed by the team is “Inovasi SmartEngTest: Aplikasi Latihan Bahasa Inggris Mandiri Berbasis Artificial Intelligence untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia Desa Cibogo”. The reasons why the Smartengtest team proposed the project was because the Cibogo Lembang Village area is a tourist area that has high economic potential. With good English language skills, it is hoped that the village’s tourism potential will increase. The project also encourages Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs point 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth and point 17, namely Partnership for the Goals. Congratulations to the Smartengtest team, hopefully it can benefit the wider community and can inspire other students to explore their potential and channel this potential to benefit the wider community.
