The Inaugural Public Lecture is a lecture activity intended for students of the Department of Computer Science especially new students for the class of 2019. This activity was held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, and took place in the Auditorium of the FPMIPA-A building. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the world of student affairs and IT, form leaders who are creative in character, foster an interest in achievement, introduce lecturing culture and strengthen the relationship between students and lecturers in the Department of Computer Science Education.

This inaugural Public Lecture was attended by one of the special speakers, the inventor of 4G LTE, Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar, S.T., M.Eng. This activity was also attended by the presenter from the alumni of the Department of Computer Science Education, namely Chairul Anam Purba Bayangna, S.Pd. and Muhammad Naufal Faranadi S. Kom. In addition, in this activity, there was also a choir performance from the computer science students themselves, the Ilkom Voice Group. The event ran smoothly and solemnly, and the enthusiasm of the participants was seen from the activity during the question and answer session.
