Sunday, September 12, 2021, the top event of Community Empowerment BEM Kemakom carried out a webinar themed “Computational Thinking Importance in Facing the 4.0 Era”. This event has a purpose to make people understand the importance of computational thinking which can build a healthy mindset in achieving a goal or solving their daily problems.

This webinar invited speakers who are competent in their fields, there is Dr. Asep Wahyudin, S.Kom., M.T. as a lecturer of Computer Science Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and Faisal Agus Tri Putra, S.Pd., M.Kom. as Head of Website and Back-end Development at SolveEducation who is also an alumni of the Computer Science Education Department.

The first session with Dr. Asep Wahyudin, M.T. talked about Computational Thinking in general, such as the definition and the main techniques in implementing it. Meanwhile, the second session with Faisal Agus Tri Putra, M.Kom. continued the first session and talked more about the implementation of Computational Thinking in daily activities.

This webinar was attended by more than 130 participants and got great enthusiasm. Hopefully, this event can open the public’s mind about the importance of computational thinking and can apply it in daily life.
