It all started in 1983, when the 8 (eight) colleges that initiated the establishment of the Informatics and Computer Study Program formed a forum called the Computer Science Higher Education Cooperation Agency (BKS PERTINIS I-K). In line with the rapid development of computer science and informatics, the members of BKS PERTINIS I-K increased to 78 (Seventy Eight) members in 1987. The peak was in 1996, when BKS PERTINIS I-K changed its name to College of Informatics and Computers (PERTIKOM) the number of members became more than 250 Study Programs from all regions of the country. The two-day National Working Meeting (Rakernas) was organized by the Association of Colleges of Informatics and Computer Science (Aptikom) at Amikom Yogyakarta University on Sunday and Monday, 19-20 May 2023. This event was held in conjunction with the national seminar agenda with the theme “Best Excellent Accreditation Practice and Building a Roadmap for Leading Research at Infokom (Information and Communication) College. The National Working Meeting was attended by 75 participants from various regions in Indonesia. This National Working Meeting discussed the work program for the next year and also resulted in the formulation of the Jogja 2023 Aptikom Declaration for Indonesia.
One of the representative participants who attended this National Working Meeting from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia was Prof. Dr. Munir, M.IT. which supports Aptikom in the field of multimedia work and supports the contribution of universities to bridge campuses with the international world. Prof. Dr. Munir, M.IT. is one of the professors in the Magister Computer Science Education Study Program at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Aptikom will strive to collaborate on quality education and research with overseas campuses. Another effort is to support universities to adopt and accelerate the use of artificial intelligence to improve the quality of education. Hopefully these efforts will be able to support Indonesia’s future progress.
