On Friday, October 26th, 2018, the Computer Science Education Department held a Public Lecture with the theme “Preparing competitive Indonesian HR in the field of Information Technology in the context of facing Industrial Revolution Era 4.0”. The presentation was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. Yuwaldi Away, M. Sc., a professor and the Head of Robotics Automation Study Center (PUSMATIKA) Syiah Kuala University. The activity was held at FPMIPA UPI building, starting from 13.30 WIB until 15.30 WIB and was attended by lecturers and students of the Computer Science Education Department.

The activity was opened with Quran recitations by Gusmawan and continued with remarks from the Chair of the Computer Science Education Department, Prof. Dr. Munir, M.IT. After the opening ceremony, the activities continued with the presentation delivered by Prof. Yuwaldi and accompanied by Mr. Erlangga as the moderator.

The soldering took place smoothly for approximately 180 minutes. The material presented in broad outline is the process of industrial revolution, industry, and capabilities that must be possessed in the face of the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0.

The public lecture ended with a group photo with presenters, lecturers, and students of the Computer Science Education Department. By carrying out this public lecture activity, it is expected that public lecture participants will be able to prepare themselves to face competition in the field of information technology in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0.
