Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The Computer Science Education Department and PT Scada Prima Cipta held a meeting to discuss the potential for cooperation. PT Scada Prima Cipta is a company engaged in Industrial Automation, Information and Communication Technology, as well as Maintenance and Reliability. This company has been established since 2001 and is domiciled in Bandung.

Through the meeting which was attended by representatives from PT Scada Prima Cipta and lecturers from Computer Science Education Department, two main topics were discussed, namely the potential for cooperation to fulfil the Tri Dharma of higher education as well as the company’s need to find potentially superior students from Computer Science Education Department which can later be channelled to work at PT Scada Prima Cipta.

The first discussion is about cooperation to be able to fulfill the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which consists of Education and Teaching, Research and Development, and Community Service. From education and teaching point, the collaboration that can be done is by inviting employees from PT Scada Prima Cipta to become presenters or as industry lecturers to fill in seminars or lectures in several subjects that require a presenter from industry with the aim of further broadening student insights about industry and work.

Meanwhile, from the point of research and development, the collaboration that can be done is to involve students in projects at PT Scada Prima Cipta which can later be used as student Final Projects. Through this collaboration, there will be many parts that are involved including lecturers, students, and the company itself so that it has the potential to produce a creation.

Furthermore, the topic discussed was regarding the urgency of the need for PT Scada Prima Cipta to find potential students from the Computer Science Education Department to work in companies. Through this topic, in the future there will be collaborative events such as student competitions as well as apprenticeship programs. So that through this event, the potential of students from the Computer Science Education Department can be found.

With this visit, it opens a very broad opportunity for the civitas academic of the Computer Science Education Department to be able to develop their potential even further. It is also hoped that through this collaboration, it will be easier for students from Computer Science Education Department to work in industrial companies such as PT Scada Prima Cipta.
