December 22, 2022, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) through the UPI Student Affairs Directorate and the UPI Student Republic Student Executive Board held the 2022 UPI Achievement Award (UAA) which took place at the Ahmad Sanusi Building, UPI, Bumi Siliwangi campus. This activity was held as a form of campus appreciation for UPI students who have excelled by getting 1, 2, and 3 championship rankings in competitions at the national and international levels during 2021 and 2022.

Based on data from the UPI Directorate of Student Affairs, 619 UPI students in 2021-2022 managed to carve gold ink by winning various competitions in individual and group categories on a national and international scale. So, UPI wants to give appreciation to its students through the UPI Achievement Award activity. However, the 2022 UPI Achievement Award was specifically for the 1st place in the championship who passed the administrative selection.

Teams that have not been selected for the 2022 UPI Achievement Award will have the opportunity to be selected for the next UPI Achievement Award which will be held in April 2023.

Two teams from the Computer Science Education Department that won the DIMASTI-AMLI 2022 competition, namely the WinDoes7 Team consisting of Enrico Nabil Qois Budisantoso, Dwi Fitria Al Husaeni, and Muhammad Yusuf Maulana and The Vipers Team consisting of Andika Putra Ksatria, Fadhli Oktavian Nugraha, Nur Mauludina Putri, and Muhammad Akmaluddin Adyani Komara managed to pass the administrative selection.

Apart from these two teams, the MIRAPRO Team consisting of Ghirah Madani and Nurmiyati Annisa, 1st place winners in the 4C National Competition in the Infographic Video category were also declared to have passed the administrative selection. These three teams are entitled to attend and receive awards at the 2022 UPI Achievement Award.

A member of the WinDoes7 Team, Dwi Fitria Al Husaeni, feels happy and proud because her achievements have received attention and appreciation from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. “The first impression is happiness and pride because, thank God, the achievements we got, even though they are not that big, still get appreciation from various parties and can contribute to improving UPI’s student achievements. The hope is that after receiving UAA, every UPI students, especially myself and the team, must be more enthusiastic and motivated again in gaining various achievements in national and international events, “said Dwi.

In addition, Dwi said that his success could not be separated from the various supports around him, including the support from the Study Program. “The role of the study program is very big from every achievement that we have now, starting from the guidance from the supervising lecturer who made us win, the moral and material support from the study program which launched every activity and need for the competitions, as well as the provision of facilities from the study program who played a big role for us so that we can get this achievement.” Dwi said.

Congratulations to the three teams from the Computer Science Education Department who have successfully passed the 2022 UPI Achievement Award and to other teams who have won titles in 2022. The Computer Science Education Department will continue to support its academics to continue to excel in various fields of interest. Hopefully, in 2023, more Individuals and Teams from the Computer Science Education Department will win championships and participate in the next UPI Achievement Award activities.
