CODE is a series of competition events in the field of Information Technology in which there are two categories of competitions, namely software development and technology innovation 5.0 (https://code.amcc.or.id/). CODE is held by AMCC or Amikom Computer Club which is an UKM (Student Activity Unit) at Amikom University Yogyakarta. Science-based UKM with a vision to become “The Best IT Organization in Jogja” (http://amcc.or.id/). The Innovation Technology 5.0 competition category is a competition to create creative and innovative ideas along with ideas that are useful for solving business problems in Indonesia, while the Software Development competition category is a competition to create and develop creative and innovative software applications that can have a positive impact on problems that exist in Indonesia. The timeline of CODE 2022 is as follows:
The selection of proposals and videos is carried out online, while the final event in the form of presentations is carried out offline at the Amikom University Yogyakarta campus by implementing health protocols.
This competition was also participated by students of the Computer Science Study Program who were members of a team that took part in the Software Development competition category. The students are
The evaluation criteria for the Software Development competition category include innovation, impact, technology, market potential, innovation, and application flow. The preparations carried out can be said to be quite short including making proposals, application prototypes (taking into account the User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX)), and presentation preparations (preparing slides and what needs to be presented in the allocated time), but because the experience of participating in several previous competitions and winning, the preparations made can be right on target. This team won 2nd place in the Software Development competition category at CODE 2022. This is a proud achievement for the Department of Computer Science Education. Hopefully, with the continued increase in proud student achievements, it can be a motivation for students and bring progress to a better direction for the Department of Computer Science Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
