January 26, 2019. Muhammad Nabilah Fahira F, Muhammad Ilham N, and Putri Nursofiyanti J left for Manila, Philippines to carry out an internship program conducted by SEA-TVET (Southeast Asia Technical and Vocational Education Training). SEA-TVET is an educational body managed by 11 education ministers in Southeast Asia. The journey takes approximately 5 hours to Jakarta-Manila. The university that accepted us there was MinSCAT (Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology) located in Victoria, the island of Mindoro, Philippines.

Opening and welcoming of the SEA-TVET program at MinSCAT

The opening was held by MinSCAT on January 29, 2019, which was attended by one of the MinSCAT Presidents, Dr. Levy B. Argo, Jr., and several lecturers there. The opening begins with prayer and singing the national anthem of each country. We were also given the opportunity to explain and present our mid-course UPI and Study Program to them through the video profile that we got. After opening, we were also given the opportunity to observe teaching and learning activities to the classes there.

// INTERSHIP

The three of us carried out our internship while at SEA-TVET at a company called MTEQ Business Solutions, which is an IT Solution provider company. MTEQ is based in Laguna province, so we moved from the MinSCAT main campus to the city of Nuvali, Laguna province during the internship there. We are working on the Sales Visit Report web application project, which is utilized by our client - a motorcycle manufacturing company - to make it easy to send sales reports from each of its dealer branches.

We built the web application using Laravel. Laravel is a framework for the PHP programming language that is often used to create websites. While the database used by our client is based on SQL Server. We also use Javascript to change aspects of its appearance to make it more flexible to use.

In this application, users can enter monthly sales reports along with several photos of related documents. While the admin of this website can add new user accounts, add motorcycle models, and view reports that have been sent

//SEMINAR

After On-the-Job Training (OJT) in Calamba, Laguna, we returned to MinSCAT Main Campus to prepare IT seminars for students there. Our adviser asked to raise topics regarding Web and Mobile Application Development using Laravel and Android Studio.

Closing MinSCAT IT Seminar

The seminar, which was held at 13:00, 18 February 2019, was attended by IT students from the first to the fourth level. The program began with the singing of Indonesian and Filipino national songs, ASEAN hymns, and MinSCAT hymns. After that, we received remarks from the Head of the Bachelor Program in Information Technology, Sir John Edgar S. Anthony, MSIT. There are two seminars we have to fill in, the first seminar is a discussion about Web Development with Laravel delivered by Putri and Ilham, and the second seminar is a discussion about Mobile Development with Android Studio delivered by M. Nabillah.

Every time the seminar ends, students who attend our seminar will be asked to fill in their rest time by presenting a performance for all of us, be it dance or singing. This is a tradition in the Philippines, especially at MinSCAT Campus. The seminar ended with the presentation of certificates from Sir John Edgar to us.
