The Computer Science Education Department once again explores cooperation as an effort to increase achievement and productivity in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This time, the Computer Science Education Department held a meeting with Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) and Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) which took place at the Universitas Negeri Padang’s campus on December 12, 2022.

This activity was initiated by the Head of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Computer Science Education Study Program, Dr. Wahyudin, M.T accompanied by the Head of the Computer Science Education Masters Study Program, Lala Septem Riza, M.T., Ph.D. and was attended by representatives from Malang State University and Padang State University.

The main topic discussed at the meeting was the Fast Track program. Fast Track is a program designed to enable students to take a higher level of education before graduating from the previous level. Through this program, students who have high academic achievements have the opportunity to be able to complete their studies in a shorter time. The three sides exchanged ideas on how to make the fast-track program run optimally.

Apart from discussing the fast track program, another topic that was the main topic of discussion at this meeting was the collaboration in research which is one of the points from the Tri Dharma of higher education. It is hoped that the three parties can collaborate in conducting research in the future to improve the quality of research from each study program.

“This collaboration is expected to provide added value and exchange experiences in higher education tri dharma activities from the 3 Legal Entity State Universities (PTNBH).” said Dr. Wahyudin, M. T. regarding his expectations from this collaboration meeting activity.

Through this collaboration meeting, it is hoped that it can increase the achievement and motivation of the students of the Computer Science Education Department in their studies. In addition, this meeting is one of the efforts to improve the quality and productivity of the academic community of the Computer Science Education Department in conducting research and study.
