On February 18, 2021, the Ministry of Research and Technology or the National Research and Innovation Agency released a list of achievers of research funding in tertiary institutions in 2021. This announcement is a good news because researchers who have successfully passed the selection will be funded in conducting their research. This funding was carried out to help the researchers study what was poured into the proposals that had previously been proposed. There are six research proposals from Department of Computer Science Education that are funded, they are:

1. Eddy Prasetyo Nugroho, M.T. with the title “Development of a Digital Forensic Simulator to Improve the Ability of Computer Network Security Investigation” in the Higher Education Leading Applied Research scheme.
2. Harsa Wara Prabawa, S.Si., M.Pd. with the title “Development of Technology-Enhance Learning based on the TPACK Study Framework in Technology Learning Design” in the Higher Education Leading Basic Research scheme
3. Drs. Heri Sutarno, M.T. with the title “Service Integration Technology Development for Smart Education with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)” in the Higher Education Leading Applied Research scheme
4. Dr. Lala Septem Riza, M.T. with the title “Data Analysis and Motive Discovery for DNA Barcoding in the R Programming Language” in the Higher Education Leading Basic Research scheme
5. Dr. Lala Septem Riza, M.T. with the title “Models and Software to Make TOEFL / IELTS Questions Automatically with Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning” in the Primary Research Scheme of Higher Education
6. Prof. Dr. Munir, M.IT. with the title “Software to detect the level and as a learning medium for autistic students: Comparative study of SLB Malaysia and SLB Indonesia” in the Higher Education Leading Development Research scheme

Congratulations for all the lecturers from the Computer Science Education Department who have succeeded in becoming the achievers of research funding for the 2021 year. Hopefully all representative research lecturers from Computer Science Education Department are given impact in carrying out research on their respective schemes, it is greatly expected that the research studied can be of benefit to all Indonesian people and bring the good name of the Computer Science Education Department as well as the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
