Towards the independence day of the Indonesia, the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in collaboration with Kodam III Siliwangi held a mass COVID-19 vaccination. This vaccination activity will be carried out on 16-25 August 2021 for the first dose of vaccination and on 13-22 September 2021 for the second dose of vaccination. In this activity, it is targeted that as many as 15,000 doses of vaccine can be injected to vaccine participants. This vaccination also facilitates the entire UPI extended family (families of UPI lecturers and education staff members) and the citizens who need COVID-19 vaccinations to support the government’s program to achieve herd immunity as soon as possible as a solution to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vaccine participants had previously registered online. This vaccination activity started on the first day at 08.00 am on August 16, 2021. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this vaccination activity, as indicated by the fact that the queue had started to fill up from 1 hour earlier. The queue has been arranged with the seats provided by the committee. The activity began with filling out a form distributed by the committee. The activity process runs smoothly, regularly, and quite efficiently, and it was marked by not having too many queues.

Hopefully, with this mass vaccination activity, we can immediately participate in accelerating the achievement of herd immunity so that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and life will return to normal.
